Swimwear Trends Summer 2019.
I’m going to start by telling you all right now…I don’t much care for fashion trends! If I love a piece from a previous season you will definitely see me rocking it again.
My advice to you all is to show off your beautiful figures and wear what you like!
Cover-ups, beach bags, hats & sandals – Oh My!
I always have a gorgeous cover-up ready to go like this one from Elafi (pictured). When I’m on holiday I am of course in my swimwear for most of the day. It’s so easy to throw a cover-up one and head out for a late lunch or dinner straight from the beach or pool.
A beach bag is of course needed. A large beautiful handbag is always important, so why would that change at the beach? If you’re ready to make an investment a Chanel tote makes a great statement. You can also find gorgeous, functional bags at State of Escape – love their colours and lots of room for all your essentials. Sunscreen, sunnies, some make-up and your favourite perfume all on hand makes heading from the beach to the restaurant a breeze.
I love having a gorgeous hat and they are so hard to find! They look great on the shelf and then for some reason, not so great on. So if you find a great hat, hang onto it and rock it for a few seasons.
I also always invest in a nice pair of sandals. Some of my favourites can be found here, at Zimmermann.
Here is where I am torn between my country loyalties! Both Australia and my home country Brazil offer wonderful options. Within Australia I love Camilla and Jets. As already mentioned, I adore Zimmermann, although I often find their bikini sets run a tad small, so go for separates if you run over a D cup.
A classic Seafolly bikini is another go-to, they always have such stunning designs and the perfect fit.
Of course, I can’t hide my preference for my Brazilian designers! Agua de Coco, Clube Bossa Swim and Hype Beachwear are a few of my much-loved Brazilian brands. I also adore Cia Maritima, a special mention for their beautiful packaging that matches your cossies print, gorgeous!
If you’re in Sydney, you must check out Bronte first of all. Or if you fancy a little road trip – head south to Jervis Bay (2.5 hour drive from Sydney). I have a beautiful holiday home nearby in Huskisson – the beaches are picture perfect complete with white sands and azure waters just like Hyams Beach, Jervis Bay (pictured below).
I have to say, summer in Europe is definite competition thought! My favourite spots are St Tropez (South France), Mykonos (Greece) and Hvar (Croatia).
Of course, Brazil will always have a spot in my heart and I absolutely love Florianopolis, Fortaleza and Rio de Janeiro.
